Terms of Application

  1. For M.A./M.S.

  1. To have a bachelor’s degree
  2. There is no language obligation for the international students during the application period. But these students have to submit a document which shows that their Turkish level is B2 or higher to their institute within 4 (four) terms. This document has to be obtained from any TÖMER institution or from another equivalent formal institution.

  1. For Ph.D.

  1. To have a master’s degree
  2. 55 points is required from international students who want to do doctoral study. They can have this document from any international foreign language examination whose equivalent has been approved by ÖSYM. Moreover, these students have to submit a document which shows that their Turkish level is B2 or higher to their institute within 4 (four) terms. This document has to be obtained from any TÖMER institution or from another equivalent formal institution. Those who had an M.A./ M.S. degree from a Turkish medium university (in Turkey or abroad) are exempted from such a requirement.

 

 Application

       Application for postgraduate study can be done all the year round. After the application, if the student is accepted by the department, s/he is given a temporary registration document. The student can use this document for the visa procedures. If s/he pays the tuition fee before the beginning of the term and carries out the course registration, final registration will be done.

If candidates contact with the head of the department or the professor with whom they want to study before the application, procedures can be carried out more quickly.

 

Application Documents

  1. A copy of the diploma
  2. A copy of the transcripts
  3. A copy of the passport or identification card.
  4. Photograph
  5. If available, accreditation of the educational institute from which they graduated, given by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

 

After completion of the above documents, application must be done by the student through the application system of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University.

 

Application System of the Institute

Evaluation and Matriculation

There is no quota, the number of the students to be accepted is determined by the head of the department and by the decision of the Institute Council.

Applications are available all the year round. However, final registrations are performed during the registration period which is indicated in the calendar of the each term. 

The files of the candidates who have applied for the postgraduate study are finalized after the decision of the head of department and Institute Council is taken.

Unless exemplified by the bilateral agreements, international students are required to pay the tuition fee determined by the University Administrative Council in accordance with the Cabinet Decision.

Successful students applying for the lateral transfer are accepted by the proposal of the Department of the Institute and the decision of the Institute Council.

 

Announcement of the Results and Final Registration

  1. The results of the applications are announced on the web pages of the concerning institute.
  2. Registration are carried out by registrar’s office of the institute at the dates which are announced on the web page of the concerning institute.

 

Required Documents from the Students Who Are Accepted

  1. Officially approved copy of the diploma or the graduation document,
  2. Officially approved copy of the transcripts,
  3. Application form and officially approved copies of the documents which s/he declared in the application form,
  4. Officially approved copy of the education visa taken from the foreign representative office,
  5. Officially approved copy of the passport,
  6. Declaration of educational residence,
  7. Three photos (taken within last six months),
  8. Receipt of tuition fee,
