          Within the scope of the 30th anniversary events of our university, a talk on “Making Theater in the Upstate” was held by the Faculty of Education. Academicians and students attended the conversation held at the 15 July Congress and Culture Center National Will Hall.


            In the interview, T.R. Kemal Atangür, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearer of the Ministry of Culture, took part as a speaker. In his interview, Atangür talked about his education life, the process of starting the theater and the work he has done in Tokat. Stating that he has been doing theater for 38 years and continuing the Karagöz play for 24 years, Atangür emphasized that the chamber theater he founded is one of the first examples of its kind in Turkey. Expressing that he is deeply attached to the theater, Atangür expressed that he will be performing his new play in the near future and thanked the audience for their participation.


         After the interview, theater artist Kemal Atangür was presented with a gift and a certificate of appreciation.
