A speech about Karabakh Victory was held by the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education at the Faculty of Education in our university. Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Eren Yürüdür, Head of the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Sönmez, academic staff and students attended the speech at the Faculty of Education Şehit Hüseyin Kısa Conference Hall.


Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Sönmez, in his speech, said, “The victory of Karabakh, which lasted for 44 days, is an important victory both for Azerbaijan and the Turkish world. The victory, in which 5 cities, 4 towns and 286 villages were recaptured and 2907 martyrs were given, contains many messages. I believe that once the Turkish world is united, it will resolve many issues.I hope that the Turkish world will not experience such pains again. We will continue our work with the slogan of unity in language in idea in work.Thank you for your participation.”


Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Eren Yürüdür, in his speech, said that this conversation took place to celebrate the 1'st anniversary of the Karabakh Victory and said, "Karabakh was a bleeding wound of the Turkish World, thank God the Azerbaijan army has regained the occupied lands and the Azerbaijan Flag waves in those lands." In his speech, “Everyone is doing everything to block the Turks, to prevent them from being strong. Our duty is to strengthen our unity even more. We will be one, we will be strong, we will be alive. Turks will be a nation that has a say in the world. I congratulate our victory, may god will not show us such invasions again," and concluded his speech.


After the protocol speeches, the cinevision show was presented. Afterwards, our university Azerbaijani Students delegate Seymur Aghayev gave his “Karabakh Victory” speech. Aghayev stated in his speech that the enemy captivity, which lasted for 30 years, ended as a result of the unprecedented struggle of the Azerbaijan army and people, as a result of 44 days of war Cebrayil on October 4, Fuzuli on October 17, Zangilan on October 20, Gubadli on October 25 and Shusha on November 8 were liberated. While Aghayev finishing his speech he said that Turkey, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Pakistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus support Azerbaijan and He wanted to emphasize that the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are bigger than the concepts of two allied countries or friendly countries.
